ebXML Technologies

ebXML (Electronic Business using eXtensible Markup Language), sponsored by UN/CEFACT and OASIS, is a modular suite of specifications that define an open XML-based business  infrastructure. This infrastructure enables enterprises of any size and in any geographical location to conduct business over the Internet in an interoperable, secure and consistent manner.

The specifications that define this technology include ebXML Technical Architecture (TA), Business Process Specification Schema (BPSS), Registry/Repository (RR), Messaging Services (MS), and Collaboration-Protocol Profile and Agreement Specification (CPPA).

NIST  ITL is curently defining conformance test suites for MS and RR, and defining a specification ( through OASIS ) for testing all other specifications using a common test framework.
